If you travel to Bulgaria on your own car, you need to be in possession of a international driving license, documents on the car and international environmental certificate ( "green card"). Before your departure, it is better if you insure the car. In Bulgaria, there are rules of international insurance. When entering the country, you have to pay the normal road tax. On the territory of Bulgaria, you can rent a wide variety of machine models.

You may rent a car if you are 21. For car rental you must present a passport, national driver's license and pay a deposit.

Method of payment:
Acceptable credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Borica or payment in cash. The Renter must leave additional deposit which is different for the different car groups: € 100 for small and economic vehicles (A and A+), € 150 for medium vehicles (B), € 300 for all other vehicles (C, D and F).

The average car rental - Euro 30 per day plus fuel. There are no special features of traffic in Bulgaria. Roads in the country, except for major cities, are quite narrow. Bulgarian road policemen like to hide in the bushes. Be careful: the fine for speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol accounted for an impressive sum. Do not forget to fasten the seat-belts.
